Bangladesh Navy (BN) has provided different types of medical and safety equipment for members of the parliament (MPs) as well as officials of the Parliament Secretariat in a bid to fight against the coronavirus.
On behalf of the Bangladesh Navy, Captain M Aktar Hasan handed over the medical equipment on Wednesday to Additional Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat M Nuruzzaman, said an Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) press release.
They provided equipment included 2,800 pieces of masks, 1,300 sets of hand gloves, 120 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE), 70 pieces of goggles, 120 pieces of hand sanitizers, 110 pieces of face shields and nine pieces of ER thermometer.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Navy also provided health safety equipment for officials, doctors, nurses and health service providers of different government institutions and hospital in the capital as well as in Chattogram and Khulna, the release said.
Besides, the force is also conducting various awareness programmes in the country’s coastal areas and providing food assistances to the local destitute people amid the Covid-19 situation.
