A 15-member trade delegation embarks on a business tour of Malaysia to explore business opportunities, including trade and investment cooperation.
The delegation was scheduled to leave Dhaka Tuesday night, said a BMCCI leader on Tuesday. Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) M Alamgir Jalil will lead the delegation.
As an initiative to develop trade and investment between Bangladesh and Malaysia, BMCCI has arranged the business tour of Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Former BMCCI President Syed Moazzam Hossain, BMCCI treasurer and deputy delegation head MA Bakar and BMCCI director, delegation coordinator M Mamunur Rahman are, among others, in the delegation.
They will attend several meetings aiming to explore Malaysia as a reliable and effective source of diversified products and services and create scope for making a wide network for Malaysian businessmen with their Bangladesh counterparts.
The BMCCI leaders said the event will also provide a great scope and avenue to the businessmen, visitors and professionals from Bangladesh, and is expected to achieve its purpose to explore Malaysia as a preferred destination and source for food and beverage industry.
The delegates will also visit the 18th Malaysian International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB 2017) at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
