Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) strongly condemned and protested the attacks on an on-duty physician of Agailjhara upazila health complex.
A statement signed by BMA President Dr Mahmud Hasan and Secretary General Dr M Iqbal Arslan on Monday said that a group of miscreants carried out an attack on Dr Bakhtiar Al-Mamun, a physician of Agailjhara upazila health complex, on June 6.
“They (miscreants) also carried out vandalism at the health complex,” the statement added.
BMA demanded immediate arrest and punishment of those responsible for the attacks and ensuring security of the doctors, nurses, employees and officials at the workplace to continue providing health services to the people from the health complex.
