Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) organised a voluntary blood donation campaign on the Dhaka University (DU) campus marking its 72nd founding anniversary.
A total of 200 leaders and activists of BCL donated blood voluntarily at the campaign in front of Aparajeya Bangla on the campus on Wednesday morning. All the collected bloods were handed over to the blood donation organizations of different hospitals, said General Secretary of BCL Lekhak Bhattacharya.
“Like previous years, we organised this campaign in a bid to help the people who have to go door to door and suffers a lot in collecting blood when they need it”, Lekhak added.
Lekhak further said BCL organised this campaign in every founding anniversary with an aim to inspire the activists and leaders of BCL as well as the people to donate blood voluntarily.
