The National Sports Day Blitz Rating Chess competition was held at Bangladesh Chess Federation conference room on Thursday to mark the International Sports Day.
National Sports Council Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest, organised by Elegant Chess Academy with the support of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF).
BCF general secretary Syed Shahab Uddin, BCF joint secretary Moniruzzaman Polash, Elegant Chess Academy managing director Mahmuda Haque Chowdhury, were among others, present on the occasion.
A total of 106 chess players took part in the daylong meet.
