Bangladesh Bidi laborer federation will organize a grand mass protest in December against the conspiracy to shut down the Bidi industry.
The Federation President Aminunddin Bsc announced this at a programme on Monday, in a human chain at Muktagacha Abul Khayer Bidi Factory field, Mymensingh, says a media release.
As a chief guest of the occasion he said, some government official, British Company and Finance minister are conspiring to shut down Bidi Industry. Millions of workers of this industry are organizing against this conspiracy. We will arrange Grand Mass Protest in December at Dhaka, where 7 to 8 lakh workers will gather in the protest against this conspiracy. We want to tell our Prime Minister that, if this industry will be closed down, we will be unemployed. The organizing Secretary Harik Hossain, General Secretary MK Bangali, Joint Secretary Abdur Rahman, Member Shamim Islam, Abul Hasnat Lavbu and the leaders of Muktagacha chapter of the federation Jasimuddin, Suvash and Najmul also spoke on the occasion.
