Rural Development Foundation (RDF) Global, a UK-based charity organisation distributed blankets to the poor people of Bishnatek Village of Darbast Union under Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet District of recently.
The blanket distribution programme led by RDF Global’s Trustee Fuzel Chowdhury and was attended by RDF Director, former Vice President of London Bangla Press Club Mahbub Rahman, Former Sylhet Bank Officers Club Publicity Secretary Md. Saiful Islam, elderly personalities Abdur Rahman, Riazul Islam and Bangladesh Betar Studio Executive Md. Nazmul Islam. of Bishnatek Village
On the eve of the commencement of distribution activities journalist Mahbub Rahman briefed on the activities of the RDF.
The blankets were distributed among about 85 poor people in Bishnatek village. Earlier, hundreds of blankets were distributed to the poor people of different villages of Patli Union and in different places.
In Jagannathpur from 29th to 31st December.UNO Mahfouzul Alam Masoom participated in the distribution function at the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
RDF Chief Executive Juber Chowdhury, Secretary General Junaid Chowdhury, Trustee Fujel Chowdhury, Trustee Talha Chowdhury, Trustee Abu Taher Chowdhury, Trustee Syed Nayeem Ahmad and Project Officer of RDF Bangladesh, Juher Chowdhury were also present in the programme.
Saleha Chowdhury went to the poor women’s home in Chanpur village and delivered the blankets.She also provided mental health services to many.
Panchbibi (Joypurhat) Correspondent adds: Blankets were distributed among 250 students of the disabled and autistic students at Panchbibi municipality area in Joypurhat on Monday afternoon.
UNO Nadeem Sarwar handed over the blankets to the handicapped students at the school premisesas Chief Guest . Vice-Chairman Sohrab Hossain Mondal, Municipal Panel Mayor Noor Hossain, Commissioner and President of the institute Anisur Rahman Bachchu, local councilors Idris Ali Fakir Bahadur, head teacher of the institution, Mahmudul Hasan Arif, head teachers of the organisation were present as guests.
