Blankets distributed among cold-hit people in districts

Blankets were distributed among 100 poor disabled and handicapped people at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently. Blanket distribution ceremony was arranged by Gafargaon Upazila and Pourosava Branch of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission.
 Gafargaon Upazila Anti-corruption Committee president Dr K M Ehsan was Chief Guest at the function. Gafargaon Upazila Human Rights Commission president Anwer Hussain Firoje presided over this function. Freedom fighter -Ahsan Ullah, veteran Journalist Fakir-e-Matin, Gafargaon Upazila Human Rights Commission Secretary Rubel Mahmud, Gafargaon Pourosava Human Rights Commission President AbdulHamid Bachhu delivered the speeches in this function.
BSS from Rangpur adds: Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) recently distributed 500 blankets among cold-hit poor and distressed people at a ceremony on RCCI Public School and College ground here.
The RCCI with the assistance of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) distributed the blankets among the cold-stricken people to mitigate their sufferings under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
President of RCCI Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu with other officials of the business body distributed the blankets in the first phase today to be followed by distribution of the same in the second and third phases this season. On the occasion, the RCCI President called upon businesspersons, charity and voluntary organisations, banks and other financial institutions and affluent people to stand beside the cold-hit people.
RCCI Directors Md Shahjahan Babu, Md Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla, Md Habibur Rahman Raja, Ajay Prasad Babon and Md Obaidur Rahman Ratan, its former Vice-president Md Mozammel Haque Dambel, former Director Md Akbar Ali, General member Swapna Rani and Md Kamal Hossain and Secretary Dr Md Reza-un-Nabi Noor were present.
