BKSP Judo team returned home on Saturday from Thimpu of Bhutan with a notable achievement. The team bagged two gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals in the Friendship Judo Tournament held at Thimu, the capital city of Bhutan recently.
Kaw Kaw Marma earned gold medal in -55 kg weight category, while Daw Soi Sing Chowdhury captured gold medal in -63 kg weight category.
Tahamida Tabassum Toma Jerin gained silver in -57 kg weight category.
Akib, Priyanka, Shariful earned bronze medals each from their respective weight categories.
Director General of BKSP Brigadier General Md Shamsur Rahman met BKSP Judo team in a courtesy visit and hopes that the team will get more success in future.
Deputy-Director (Training) Shamima Sattar Mimu, Departmental Head of Judo Department Md Abu Bakar Siddique, Coach Farhana Halim were present at the time.
Host Bhutan, Nepal and BKSP took part in the invitational tournament.
Shamima Sattar Mimu acted as the Manager of BKSP Judo team, while Farhana Halim acted as the Coach of the Team.
