A seven-member delegation of Bangladesh Krira Shikka Protishtan (BKSP), led by its DG Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsur Rahman, left Dhaka for China Sunday to visit the famous Shenyang Sports University, arguably the pre-eminent finishing school for sports and athletics in Asia.
During the visit, the BKSP authority will sign an MoU with the renowned Chinese sports university for exchanging sportsmen and coaches between the two institutions that also featured intensive training facilities. Most of the Olympics and International gold medalists Chinese athletes went through this famous Sports University.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed on July 4 at the Shenyang University in Lianyung province of China.
The other members of the group are; Director of Sports Director and Joint Secretary Aminul Islam, Joint Secretary of Youth and Sports (Youth Department) Azizul Haque, BKSP Director (Training) M Mosharraf Hossain Molla, Assistant Professor of the College Shamima Sultana, Acting Deputy Director Nusrat Sharmin and Chief Coach of Football Department Ujjal Chakraborty.
Under the agreement, BKSP will have higher training opportunities for BKSP athletes and trainers under the exchange program with Shenyan as part of the high performance training program that has been taken to make Center for Excellence in BKSP.
He also thinks that the treaty will be made simultaneously by the specialist of the Department of Sports, by exchange of expertise in the agreement.
According to the agreement, Xi’aneng’s experts will be able to train coaches and athletes even when they are in BKSP.
The role of Shenyang Sports University in China’s success in international sports is noteworthy. One statistics show that so far the students of Shenyang Academy have given 364 medals, including 103 gold medals, to the nation.
