U-18 Cricket: BKSP defeat Rangpur Div by innings & 111 runs

BKSP earned a comprehensive innings and 111-run victory over Rangpur Division in the three-day Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Championship that concluded on the 2nd day at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.
BKSP resumed the first innings with overnight 203 for 2 in 62 overs and declared the innings at 302 for 5 in 90 overs.
Two down Aminul Islam, who was in batting with 61 runs, contributed the team highest 96 runs off 141 balls featuring 14 boundaries, another night watch batsman Akibul Islam (80) scored a polished 83 runs off 214 balls hitting nine fours and one six.
Besides, Ratul Khan (37) and Shamim Hossain (32) were the other notable batsmen for BKSP. Saidul Islam grabbed two wickets.
In reply, Rangpur Division with first innings total of 92 runs opened the 2nd innings and were again bundled out cheaply for 99 runs in 35.4 overs.
Middle order Mushfiqur Islam scored the team highest not out 57 runs off 97 deliveries including nine fours while Nahid Hasan made the 2nd highest 13 runs off 12 balls with a boundary.
BKSP bowler Hasan Murad, who claimed five wickets in the first innings, grabbed another seven wickets in the day’s 2nd innings and was adjudged the man of the match.
