The Buckle Up Limited 1st BKSP Cup Taekwondo and Karate competition began on Monday at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) in Savar.
Buckle Up Limited managing director Yamin Rahim formally inaugurated the two-day meet as chief guest.
BKSP Brigadier General M Shamsur Rahman presided over the opening ceremony.
Eight teams from taekwondo division and six teams from karate division are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Buckle Up Limited and organized by BKSP.
Teams participating in Taekwondo division are Rajshahi District Sports Association (DSA) Sirajganj DSA, Gazipur DSA, Comilla DSA, Chittagong DSA, Black Belt Academy, Dhaka, Residential Model School & College, Dhaka and BKSP.
On the other hand,, teams participating in the karate division are Chittagong DSA, Rajshahi DSA, BKSU Dhaka, Mirpur Karate Academy, Kozo Do Karate Council, Dhaka Cantonment Karate Academy and BKSP.
A total of 99 participants from 14 teams are taking part in the competition.
