Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) smartly clinched the Agrani Bank 25th National Youth Hockey title outplaying Dhaka DSA by 6-0 goals in the final at Moulana Bhasani National Stadium on Monday.
Arshad Hossian struck twice while Raju Ahmed, Mohammad Mohsin, Mahbub Hossain, Fazle Hossain Rabbi scored one each for the winners.
Earlier in the morning, Rajshahi DSA finished 3rd beating Dinajpur DSA by 3-1 goals in a place-deciding match at the same venue.
Mohammad Ashraful Islam of BKSP was adjudged the best player while Deen Islam Imon of Dhaka DSA (22 goals) named as the highest scorer of the tournament to receive prize money of Tk 10,000 each alongwith crest.
Champions BKSP richer with Tk 30,000 while runners-up Dhaka DSA received Tk 20,000 in addition to trophies.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam was the chief in the final and later he distributed the trophies and prize money.
President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Air Force chief Air Marshall Mohammad Enamul Bari, Director General of BKSP Brigadier General A Mortuza Khan and Deputy Managining Director of the meet’s sponsor Agrani Bank Ltd Kazi Sanaul Haque were also present on the occasion.
