UNB, Gazipur :
Muggers shot an agent of ‘bKash’ and took away Tk 30 lakh from him at BISIC crossing in Tongi on Sunday afternoon. The injured was identified as Nijam Uddin, 30, a sales executive of mobile banking service ‘bKash’.
Witnesses said a gang of muggers intercepted Nijam and snatched a bag containing Tk 30 lakh from him when he reached the area after collecting money from ‘bKash’ dealers at about 1:45 pm.
When he tried to resist the muggers, they shot him, leaving him critically injured. Injured Nijam was first rushed to Tongi Sadar Hospital and later shifted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as his condition deteriorated.
