Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) On Tuesday signed an agreement with a Chinese institution for modernisation of government jute mills in the country.
Under the agreement, BJMC will take technical assistance of China Textile Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic and Technical Corporation (CTEXIC), said an official release.
BJMC Chairman Maj. Gen. (Retd) Humayun Khaled and CTEXIC Vice-President Fang Wei signed the agreement at a function in the meeting room of the ministry for jute and textiles.
State Minister Jute and Textiles Mirza Azam attended the function as the chief guest.
Senior officials concerned were present on the occasion.
