BJMC emerged as the champions of the Lotto 3rd National Youth (Under-19) Women’s Handball Competition beating Naogaon District teams by 19-11 goals in the final at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Wednesday.
BJMC led the first half 11-7.
Rekha, Fatema of BJMC scored five goals each and their teammate Pinky netted four goals.
On the other hand, Shahnaz of Naogaon District team scored four goals and her teammate Nurjahan netted three goals.
Parvin of BJMC and Nurjahan of Naogaon District team were jointly adjudged the Players of the Tournament.
After the final match, State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren, MP distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Managing Director of Express Leather Products Limited Kazi Jamil Islam was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee Jobera Rahman Linu and Secretary of the Organizing Committee Nurul Islam were present at the time.
