UNB, Chittagong :
Nkowcha Kingsley’s last moment header score for Brothers Union equalised the margin 1-1 that forced Team BJMC to share the match point in their 2nd round match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at M A Aziz Stadium on Saturday.
Team BJMC midfielder Muklesur Rahman Mukul put his side ahead in the 15th minute tapping the ball from goal mouth.
A Brothers Union defender delivered a back pass to goalie Uttam Barua, who came forward to receive, but unfortunately the ball rolled past under the goalie, Mukul, took the opportunity to send the ball home, 1-0.
Brothers Union Nigerian forward Nkowcha Kingsley scored the equilser in the stopgap time, after 90 minutes, by a nice header from the six yard box off a right footer cross of substitute forward Md Roni from right flank, 1-1.
Earlier, Brothers Union Nkowcha Kingsley had a golden chance to level the margin in the 29th minute, but disfavored by luck, Kingsley’s 20-yard powerful right footer shot bounced back from crosspiece that cleared by Team BJMC defender.
In the 87th minute, Brothers Union had another chance to score from goal mouth, but their three booters spoiled that opportunity, failing to connect a cross of Md Roni from right flank.
Whimsical nature jigged during the game forcing the booters to take a cooling break in the first half, but light-rain in the 2nd half made the ground slippery.
In their 3rd round matches at the same venue, Team BJMC will face Dhaka Abahani Ltd on August 2 while Brothers Union to play against Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra on August 3.
