Narayanganj Correspondent :Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) on Tuesday evicted the illegal establishments owned by Narayanganj City Awami League leader and a councilor Noor Hossain at Kanchpur on the bank of Shitalakkhya River.Nur Hossain, the prime accused of abduction and killing of Narayanganj City Corporation’s panel mayor Nazrul Islam, had been running sand and stone business erecting illegal tin-shed structures there.A team of BIWTA started the eviction drive around 10am and continued till afternoon.Executive Magistrate Abul Kashem Mohammad Shahin accompanied by BIWTA Joint Director Joynal Abedin and Deputy Director Alamgir Kobir were present at the spot during the eviction drive.BIWTA Deputy Director Alamgir Kabir told journalists that Noor Hossain and his associates had been doing sand and stone businesses on the bank of river Shitalakhya setting up illegal structures despite removal those on several occasions.
