BITA, CAB, ELLMA submit memos to Councilors

BITA, CAB and ELLMA jointly have started activities in the port city to save the adolescents from the curse of tobacco .
These non-govt organisations are working to create public awareness against the abuse of tobacco through cultural activities. Expressing gratitude to the anti-tobacco programs of these NGOs former City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin very recently issued a public circular prohibiting selling, advertisement and publicity of tobacco in any ways within the 100 yards areas of any educational institutions in the city .
With this continuity of the CCC circular, BITA CAB and ELLMA have started submitting memorandums to the ward councillors for implementation of the former CCC circular regarding prohibition of tobacco sales within the 100 yards of school & colleges.
Very recently representatives of BITA, ELMA and CAB jointly submitted memorandum to ward councillors of city ward No.16,17 & 18. Respect ward secretaries of the ward No.16,17 &18 received the memos on behalf of the councillors.
 
 In this connection , discussion meeting was held with the presence of CAB Chandgaon Thana President Jane Alam and Ward secretaries with social distance and health guidelines . Mentionable it is that according to survey of BiTA , CAB & ELLMA , there are 885 educational institutions in the city and the numbers of tobacco selling outlets are 5,536.
