Today is the 76th birthday of director, playwright and actor Abdullah Al-Mamun, one of the pioneers of modern Theatre in Bangladesh.
To celebrate this versatile artist’s life, his Theatre troupe ‘Theatre’ has arranged a memorial meeting and a show of his play.
On the occasion, a memorial meeting will be held at 4.00 pm at the seminar Room (Level 6), Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Eminent theatre activist Ataur Rahman, Actor Sarah Begum Kabari and Subarna Mustafa will outset the programme. This programme is open to all.
In the evening Theatre’s play ‘Meraj Fakirer Maa’ Directed and Written by Abdullah Al-Mamun will be staged at 7.00 pm at Main Theatre Hall (Jatiya Natyashala), Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
