A 15-day programme marking the 183rd birthday celebration of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa Dev and annual function and centennial ceremony of Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission began on Saturday.
The celebration was begun with the ‘Usha Keertan’, one kind of devotional song, at 6 am at Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission in the city.
The fortnight programme includes discussions, screening of documentary on life and works of Sri Ramakrishna and Srima Sarada Devi, performing Ramayan, rendering devotional songs, Padavali Keertan, drama, special puja, distribution of Prasad, homeopathy healthcare camps, painting competition for children, volunteer blood donation programme, diabetic healthcare camp, youth summit, mothers’ summit and cultural functions.
