The 150th birth anniversary of the world famous scientist Marie Curie, Nobel laureate for twice, was celebrated at Marie Curie School in a befitting manner in the city on Saturday.
Eminent Scientists Professor Dr M Shamsher Ali addressed the main birth anniversary function as the chief guest while Professor Dr Amir Hussain Khan addressed as the guest of honour.
The speakers, in their speeches, highlighted life and works of Marie Curie and urged the students to grow up themselves being inspired with the ideals of Marie Curie.
Later, a cultural function was held at the school.
Marie Curie School was established in 1995 at Dhanmondi in the city after the name of Nobel Laureate Marie Curie to inspire the youths with her ideals and encourage them acquiring creative knowledge.
