Birth anniv of Bangamata observed

The 88th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was observed through a day long programme in the port city and elsewhere in the district on Wednesday .
 The day long program began with placing wreaths at the portrait of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa at Awami League city unit office.
Chattogram City, North and South District units of Awami League (AL) observed the day through holding discussion, Milad and Doa Mahfils at the respective party offices.
Leaders of Chattogram City Awami League paid tributes to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib by placing wreaths at her portrait the at city’s Darul Fazal Market party office. Chattogram South District Mohila AL organized a discussion at its Andarkilla office with its president Chemon Ara Taiub in the chair. Chittagong south district AL president Muslem Uddin Ahmed and General Secretary Mofizur Rahman, among others, took part in the discussion.
Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parisad organized a discussion its court building lawyers conference room with Chattagong Bar Association President Advocate Iftakher Saimul Chowdhury in the chair.
Chittagong south district AL president Muslem Uddin Ahmed and General
Secretary Mofizur Rahman, among others, took part in the discussion.
Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parisad organized a discussion its court building BAR conference room with Chattagong Bar Association President Advocate Iftakher Saimul Chowdhury in the chair. Speakers in the discussion said Bangamata Fazilatunnessa sacrificed in her whole life for the people of the country and people have learned many things of politics from life of the great lady.
To mark the occasion, different educational intuitions, including Chittagong University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) organized a Milad Mahfil. Special discussions on great lady were held in primary and secondary schools where teachers and students interacted on different aspects of the Begum Mujib, also mother of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Speakers in the discussion said Bangamata Fazilatunnessa sacrificed in her whole life for the people of the country and people have learned many things of politics from life of the great lady.
