The 97th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was celebrated in Bagerhat district town and its all the nine Upazilas amid much enthusiasm on Thursday .
The Day’s programme started with the placing of floral wreath on the portrait of Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibor Rahman by Dr. Mozammel Hossain, MP of Bagerhat Constutuency-4 as the chief guest in the local Swadhinata Udyan in the morning. It was followed by a colourful rally consists of students, teachers, lawyers, journalists and people from all walks of lives. It paraded the main roads of the district town. It was organized by Bagerhat district administration. After the end of the rally a lively discussion meeting was held in Swadhinata Udeyan on the life and works of Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibor Rahman with Md. Jahangir Alam, DC, Bagerhat in the chair. It was addressed among others by Al-haj Dr. Mozammel Hossain, MP and President of Bagerhat district unit of Bangladesh Awami League, Al-haj Adv. Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, MP, Happy Boral, MP and Nizamul Haq Molla, Police Super of Bagerhat. It

The 97th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day was observed amid huge enthusiasm with fresh vow to build Sonar Bangla on Thursday in Gouripur upazila under Mymensingh. Apart from the ruling Awami League (AL) Gouripur upazila unit and its front and associated bodies, different political, socio-cultural and educational organisations chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the Day, which is also the Nation Children Day, with due respect and in festive mood. A children’s rally was brought out at 9:00 am from the Upazila Parishad that ended at the same place. Students of different institutions like Gouripur Pilot Girls High School, Gouripur R.K.Govt. High School, Nurul Amin Khan High School, Agradut Niketon Adarsha High School,Gouripur Govt. Technical School and College, Govt. Textile Vocational Institute, Islamabad Senior Madrasha joined the rally.
