Thursday’s explosion at a bathroom of the Narayanganj District and Session’s Judge Court might have originated from biogas, police said on Friday.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police found no evidence that it was a bomb attack, said CID Narayanganj Zone assistant superintendent of police Ehsanuddin Chowdhury.
“The blast could have been caused by biogas,” he said adding that further investigation is going on into the incident.
Meanwhile, a case was filed against some unidentified miscreants in connection with the blast.
Fatullah Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Ali Zinnah filed the case under the Explosive Substances Act.
