Biman Bangladesh Airlines took an aggressive marketing for its Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka route, offering a round trip ticket for only Taka 20,060 including all taxes, to travel to Thailand, the land of white elephants.
“Number of outbound Bangladeshi tourists is increasing to Bangkok destination day by day. We reduced our fare so that the national flag carrier can be the first choice for the local travelers,” Biman’s Public Relations General Manager Shakil Meraj told the media on Saturday.
Besides reducing the fare, Meraj said, the Biman is also offering passengers to carry extra luggage free of cost.
Now economy class passenger can carry maximum 30 kg instead of earlier 20 kg and business class passenger 40 kg for their checked baggage for Dhaka-Bangkok flight.
