Biman’s Chairman said after assuming office in 2009, he has been trying hard to taking out Biman of its loss making trend.
Ahmed said he sent off 35 years old fuel-guzzler aircraft DC-10-30 and F-28 to retirement for reducing fuel as well as heavy maintenance and handling costs.
He said automation of Biman’s software and brining modernization to its trading system also helped the airlines in making profit.

Recently, the national airlines signed deal with a company of Egypt to induct two 74- seat Dash8-Q400 aircraft for resuming its full phase domestic flight operation.
