Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested five people, including deputy general manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Emdad Hossain, from different areas of the city on Tuesday night for their alleged involvement in gold smuggling. Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said a team of the detective police launched a special drive in separate places of the city at night and arrested the five. Details of the drive would be informed at a press briefing later today, Masudur Rahman added. –UNB, Dhaka.
