Former News Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Momtaj Bilkis and News Editor of satellite channel Bangla Vision Sharmin Rinvy have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Bangladesh Women Journalists’ Forum (BWJF) on Saturday.
A-13 member new committee was announced after a meeting of the forum at Jatiya Press Club.
Besides, senior journalist Rasheda Amin and General Secretary of the National Press Club Farida Yasmin have been made advisors of the new committee.
Other office-bearers are Mahmuda Chowdhury and Rojy Ferdous (Vice-Presidents), Fahmida Ahmed (Joint Secretary), Sajeda Hoque (Organizing Secretary), Junan Nashit (Treasurer), Khatun-E-Jannat Kana (Publicity, Publication and Cultural Secretary) and Sharmin Azad (Office Secretary).
Members of the executive committee are Mokbula Parveen, Shirin Sultana, Afroza Akhi and Afroza Nazneen.
