Bilkis Erani of Dhaka Tribune emerged women’s singles champion in the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Carom competition beating Parvin Sultana of Boishakhi TV by 29-14 points in the final held on Monday at newly DRU extended hall room.
On way to the final, Erani beat Suruaya Munni of RTV by 29-6 points in the first semi-final while Parvin defeated Sajeda Islam Parul by 29-9 points in the second semis.
Earlier, on the day, DRU president Shakhawat Hossain Badsha formally inaugurated the DRU extended hall room. DRU sports secretary Mojibur Rahman conducted the day’s carom competition.
