An easy bike diver was chopped and burnt to death pouring petrol goods at Udoypur village under Jhenidah sadar upazila on Monday night. The massacred body was recovered from a tobacco plot in the village on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rasel Ahmed, 20, son of Ohidul Seikh of Kumrabaria village under same upazila.
Jhenidah police station officer in charge (OC) Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury said, Rasel left his house at about 9.00 in the morning of Monday for professional purposes. But he did not return accordingly.
The law enforcers have recovered the body severely affected with a number of stab injuries on the parts, especially on face and burn signs, while there was no battery with the three wheeler. Rasel might be killed when the miscreants had tried to snatch the batteries of the easy bike.
