A six- day Muktijudder Bijoy Utsab to motivate and inform the history of Liberation War to the new generation ended at Muslehuddin Bhuiyan Stadium premises here on Monday.
State Minister for Water Resources Lt Colonel (Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Birpatik) formally inaugurated the Bijoy Utsab on 17 December organised by District Administration, Muktijuddah Sangsad and Shilpakala Academy
In the concluding day function, Senior Secretary , Ministry of Public Administration . Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury attended as chief guest with Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Abu Hena Morshed Zaman in the chair.
Narsingdi Pourashava Mayor Kamruzzaman, District Muktijuddah Commander Abdul Motaleb Pathen,, Nari Odhiker Kormi Meleka Khan was present in the function as special guest .
The Chief Guest said , freedom fighters are the pride of the nation whose debt can’t be paid, .Bangladesh emerged as an independence and sovereign country for immense sacrifices of the valiant sons. He called for presenting the true history of the great War of Liberation as well as country’s rich tradition before the young generation for imbuing them with patriotism. ..
He said Bangladesh is progressing fast towards development by the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The government has set glaring instance in various development sectors like education, power supply, agriculture, communication and health ..He called upon all to make unity and try to full fill the dream of martyred in building Sonar Bangla.
