It has been complained that a neighbour of the Chattogram Bigyan Parishad on the Chattogram Sirajuddowlah Road has been grabbing Parishad Bhaban land. The land measures a small plot under Chawkbazar thana.
The owner of the adjacent house Gopal Babu Gang has been forcibly trying to occupy the lands of the Parishad by pucca construction which extending upto the back wall of Parishad Bhaban.
The matter of forcibly occupation of parishad land was informed in writing to the Deputy Commissioner, Chittagong on February 7, 2021 by the President of Parishad Prof. Dr. Bikiron Prasad Barua and instantly DC Chattogram directed to AC(Land) Sadar circle for taking necessary action.
It was told that neighbour Gopal Babu and his father Avinash Babu are tactfully trying to occupy the leased land of Bigyan Parishad which is vacantly behind the existing building of 6 feet breadth.
Besides, the influential Gopal Babu and his family members misbehaved with the employees of the Parishad in view of given objections to stop their construction.
They also behaved roughly with the Land Surveyor of AC(Land) office while inspected the dispute site . Instantly AC(Land) asked the concerned thana police over the misbehave of the Gopal Gang and subsequently Thana police swooped on the spot and stopped their construction works.
Mentionable that passage road of west side of the Parishad Bhavan blocked with bricks by the occupiers and the total lands and building of Parishad now in utter riskable condition, Parishad sources said.
