The two-day long ninth biennial conference and international seminar of Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association (BAHA) started on Thursday in Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium.
Fisheries and livestock Muhammad Sayedul Hoque, inaugurated the programme as chief guest. Prof Dr Alin Akbar, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), AFM Bahauddin Nasim, MP and president of KIB, and Mike Robson, FAO representative in Bangladesh were present as special guests.
The inaugural session chaired by Prof Dr Jasimuddin Khan, president of BAHA. The theme of the seminar is ‘safe milk for healthy nation’ in which seven papers will be presented by the national and international participants.
The election for the new executive committee for next two years will held in the second day of the conference.
