Bidi Sramik Sangram Parishad, Barish District Unit has organized a human chain in front of Barisal Chamber of Commerce on Saturday to press home their 5- point demands to survive the bidi industry.
The bidi labourers formed the human chain in front of Barisal Chamber of Commerce demanded reduction of tax, withdrawal 10 percent advance income tax, step to shutdown fake bidi factory, stop license held up process without physical visit of factory and legal frame to protect workers and owners of the bidi factories in the country.
Vice President of Bidi Sramik Federation Lokman Hakim, Bidi labour leaders Shahin Hawladar, Sumon Shaha, Forhad spoke in the programme.
