Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) will provide 150 services of 35 organisations through the integrated One-Stop Service (OSS) centre.
Out of the services, 22 services of the five organizations are available in the center while the rest will be provided within the year 2020, said Outgoing BIDA Executive Chairman Kazi Aminul Islam at a press conference at its headquarters in the city on Tuesday.
Aminul Islam said out of the 128 services of 30 organisations, 28 services will come under OSS within this year while 100 services will come within the next year (2020).
After ensuring all services through OSS, he said, entrepreneurs will get all necessary permissions for investment from a single window and it will make easier starting a business in the country.
He said the government is implementing different initiatives to improve the country’s position in doing business ranking in upcoming report of the World Bank’s Global Doing Business Report.
He said BIDA has taken an initiative to create 24,000 new and skilled entrepreneurs within two years in line with one of the Prime Minister’s 10 initiatives – ‘Investment Development’.
“BIDA will provide training to the interested youths for being entrepreneurs. Under the ‘Entrepreneurship Creation and Skill Development’ project, each entrepreneur will take one-month training from the district-level training centers,” he added.
