BIAA Delegation called on Zhang Zuo

A business delegation of Bangladesh Indenting Agents’ Association (BIAA) led by its President Muhammad Ayub on Thursday met Zhang Zuo, Ambassador, People’s Republic (PR) of China to Bangladesh at the Chinese Embassy Office, Baridhara, Dhaka for discussing issues on development of bilateral business relations, says a media release.
Exchanging warm greetings, BIAA President Muhammad Ayub congratulated Zhang Zuo on his new appointment as Ambassador of the PR of China to Bangladesh and expected more mutual business cooperation under his leadership.
He informed BIAA Members (Indentors) are the representatives of foreign companies/manufacturers/ suppliers for marketing their products in Bangladesh and most of the members are the agents of Chinese companies.
Ayub mentioned some agreements signed between BIAA and different Provinces of PR of China and requested Zhang Zuo for his hands of cooperation in signing new agreements with other provinces and trade bodies for enhancing business and economic cooperation.
Ayub also proposed to jointly organize fairs, exhibition, and seminar on different sectors of business, resolve trade disputes through commercial wing of the Embassy, and establish Chinese Language Training Institute for businessmen and relocation of Chinese labor intensive industries to Bangladesh.
He added that China is the No. 1 trading partner of Bangladesh and the volume of import of Bangladesh from China is about 11 Billion USD with upward trends.
Ayub said that BIAA attends fairs and exhibition in each year organized by CCPIT for exploring new ways of business relations. Similarly Chinese business delegation especially Yunnan Chamber of International Commerce organizes their business trips in Bangladesh in association with BIAA.
He sought more trade promotional meetings and activates between the two countries. Sr. Vice-President MSI Dastagir also pointed out other areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Zhang Zuo, thanked BIAA delegation for their effective proposals and assured all cooperation from Embassy in the aforesaid issues. He opined China may reduce or cancel tariffs on imports of all types of goods from Bangladesh to reduce trade imbalance, which was highly appreciated by BIAA.
Zhang Zuo invited the delegation to attend the first China International Import Expo. to be held in Shanghai from November 5, 2018 to November 10, 2018.
BIAA President Muhammad Ayub also cordially invited to attend the gala ceremony of 40 Years of Excellence of BIAA scheduled in the last week of September, 2018 and presented a Crest to H.E. Zhand Zuo as a token of honor.
The delegation included Vice- President AKM Azad, Directors Kazi Abdus Salam, Md. Abdullah Al Mahmood, Al Mahmud Moinul Haque, Md. Nuruzzaman, K. M. N. Manjurul Haque, S M Salim Reza, Secretary in Charge of BIAA Md. Ashiquzzaman and Sr. Assistant Secretary Asoke Kumar Biswas.
Official of the Embassy LV Yang, Second Secretary, and PR of China was present as well.
