Bhutanese PM greets Hasina

Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering on Tuesday greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of the celebration of Mujib Year and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said Lotay Tshering phoned Sheikh Hasina this afternoon and congratulated her and the people of Bangladesh.
The Bhutanese Prime Minister informed Sheikh Hasina that the Bhutanese people also celebrated the event and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of the architect of independent Bangladesh by illuminating one thousand lamps.
In reply, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her sincere thanks to the Lotay Tshering and the people of Bhutan for celebrating the birth centenary of the great leader.
The Prime Minister wished Bhutan and its people continued peace and prosperity in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister (CM) of Indian State of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Mujib Year.
The press secretary said the Tripura CM phoned the Prime Minister this afternoon and extended greetings to her and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation.
