Acting Bhutanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Karma Wangzom paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university on Tuesday.During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including development of art and culture in Bangladesh.They stressed the need for strengthening interaction among Bangladeshi artistes and Bhutanese ones.The possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on fine art between Dhaka University and higher educational institutions in Bhutan also came up for the discussion.Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art of DU Professor Nisar Hossain and General Secretary of Society for Promotion of Bangladesh Art Rafi Haque were present on this occasion, among others.
