District and Sessions Judge of Bhola ABM Mahmudul Haque has been transferred to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on corruption charge in recruitment.
A notice was issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy Secretary Sheikh Gulam Mahbub (Admin-1) on Wednesday saying Bhola’s District and Sessions Judge ABM Mahmudul Haque had been attached to the ministry.
Towards the end of last month few national, regional and local newspaper and online portal published a report that District and Sessions Judge of Bhola ABM Mahmudul Haque appointed 11 people in the post of lower division clark/ cum computer operator and office assistant without any circular.
According to the administrative office of the court, a recruitment notice was published in a national daily
in 2016 to appoint 14 people as office assistants and in other posts in the Bhola District and Sessions Judge’s Court.
But judge ABM Mahmudul Haque had recruited 11 more people by using his power illegally which completely breached the appointment rules.
