Omar Farooque, has joined Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) as the Managing Director (MD) recently. Prior, he was the Deputy Managing Director of Janata Bank Ltd.
Bank and Financial Institution Division of Finance Ministry, with an order on the same date, promoting him on the same position posted Farooque in BHBFC. Before joining BHBFC he had been acting as the Deputy Managing Director of Janata Bank Ltd.
Omar Farooque completed MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University in 1983. Then he joined Agrani Bank as a senior officer. As a Deputy Managing Director he performed for four an half years in Janata Bank Ltd.
