Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) earned a profit of Taka 86 crore during the first half of the financial year 2016-17.
During the period, the corporation’s income was Take 135.83 crore while expenditure was Taka 50.27 crore.
BHBFC sanctioned Taka 126.35 crore as loan during the time and distributed Taka 118.06 crore and recovered Taka 248.13 crore in the same period.
Talking to BSS, BHBFC Chairman Shaikh Aminuddin Ahmed said capital deficit would be cut to a great extent this year as the government has already allocated Taka 200 crore to meet the fund constrains and hoped that the government would allocated more Taka 300 crore fund in this year.
