Following years of legal tangle, the demolition process of the BGMEA Bhaban in Hatirjheel would finally get under way on Wednesday morning.
Iftekhar Hossain, public relation officer of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, said in a press briefing on Tuesday.
Minister for Housing and Public Works SM Rezaul Karim is expected to kick off the process at 10am.
The demolition process was put on hold in October last year as the RAJUK authorities allowed BGMEA for taking its electric sub-station, four lifts and other belongings from the building.
