BGFCL inaugurates drilling activities of Titas well 26

Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL) inaugurated the drilling activities of Titas well 26. The company arranged the Doa Mahfil at the Titas Gas field premises in Brahmanbaria district on Saturday.
 BGFCL General Manager (Project director) Eng Ahmed Hossain inaugurated the drilling activities as the chief guest at the inaugural function.
 Among others, General Manager (Maintenance & Operation) Eng Md Shafiqul Islam, General Manager (Technical Services) Md Toufiqur Rahman Tapo, Project director Eng Md Ali Moktezer, Deputy General Manager (Public Relation) Md Monirul Hoque, CBA President SM Toufiq Belal, Secretary Anisur Rahman Sayeed were present at the function.
The Company expects to add the natural gas to the national grid 20-25 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) from Titas well 25 under the implementing projects.
Presently, this raises the overall production of BGFCL to 830 mmcfd of natural gas from its producing fields. BGFCL meets more than 31 percent of country’s natural gas demand, sources also added. BGFCL has been contributing to the national economy by paying considerable amounts to the public exchequer every year through natural gas production, sources added.
 Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation (SISC), a China govt. institution has been involved for performing this well as a contractor.

The company is entrusted with production of natural gas, processing of gas to pipeline quality and supplying of gas to transmission systems.
BGFCL is operating gas fields to produce natural gas and its associate separate condensation and is supplying dry natural gas to marketing companies.
