BGB seizes Tk 64.95 cr goods, drugs in Nov

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized smuggled goods and drugs worth Tk 64.95 crore from across the country from November this year, BGB said in a press release issued on Sunday.
The seized contraband items from the various drives were about 9,03,289 Yaba pills, 54,5, 588 bottles of phensidyl, 14,386 bottles of foreign liquor, 385 cans of beer, 1,487 kg hemp, 430 gm heroin, 12,837 injections, 4,888 sengra tablets and around1,44,980 other intoxicating tablets.
Other seized smuggled goods are – 16.582 kg gold,

15.465 kg silver, 1,905 sets of imitation ornaments, 45,777 sets cosmetics, 3,469 sarees, 379 sets of three pieces, 4,286 kg tea leaves, 3,049 readymade garments products, 5,155 CFT wood. 16,900 kg caol, 5 trucks, 6 private cars, 5 pick-ups, 31 engine-run auto-rickshaws and 92 motor cycles.
The paramilitary force also seized 6 pistols, 8 guns, 27 magazines, and 10,97 round bullets.
Meanwhile, legal action have been taken against 363 Bangladesh nationals and 7 Indian nationals for illegally crossing border, said the release.
