Border Guard Bangladesh men on Saturday seized a total of 261 pieces of rawhide of goats from Putkhali frontier under Benapole land port just before smuggling, BGB informed.
Lt Col Abdur Rahim of 23 Border Guard Battalion told that tipped off the BGB men carried out a raid at a field of Putkhali frontier under Benapole land port in the morning. ‘The rawhide was being smuggled to India’, he added.
Sensing the presence of BGB personnel the smugglers fled the scene, said the BGB.
A case was filed in this connection.
