Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized three trucks of indian Imitation Jew alary goods worth Tk. 1 crore 76 lakh from Amrakhali area in Benapole Port police station on Monday night.
But they could not arrest any smugglers at the time.
Lieutenant Colonel Salim Reja, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion said. that tipped off the BGB men seized three loaded trucks with indian Imitation Jew alary worth Tk. 1 crore 20 lakh. The smugglers fled the scene after seeing the presence of the BGB.
The seized goods deposit to Benapole customs godown.
A case was filed in this connection.
