Border Guard Bangladesh men seized Indian smuggled fish in two separate raids at Nabharan under Sharsha upazila and Keshabpur upazila headquarters area on Friday. Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer, 26 Border Guard Battalion told New Nation on the night of the day.
The BGB official told that tipped off two teams of the BGB raided the areas and seized the smuggled fish worth Tk2, 07, 70,000. The BGB men also arrested six men in these connections. ‘The fish was handed to Jessore customs’, he added.
