BGB seized clothes worth about Tk five crore from Panch Mile Bus Stand on Dhaka-Khulna Highway under Sadar upazila on Friday morning.
The seized articles are Sharee, three piece and long cloths. A contingent of BGB-6 Chuadanga battalion launched the drive.
BGB Battalion-6 Director SM Moniruzzaman said, acting on a tip off a special patrol team led by him (Moniruzzaman) challenged a Dhaka bound goods laden truck from Jessore at Panch mile bus stand. They also seized 5200 pieces Indian sharee, 10200 meters long cloths, 35 three pieces and a truck whose price is worth around Tk 4 crore 77 lakh.
No one was arrested involved in this connection. The seized articles have been sent to Chuadanga BGB battalion office, the director added.
