Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge smuggling goods and drugs worth about Taka 41 crore and 30 lakh by conducting raids at different border areas in the month of September-2019.
The seized drugs among 3, 63,046 pieces of yaba tablets, 33,177 bottles of phensidyl, 5,795 bottles of foreign wine and 532 KG hemp.
Other smuggled goods among 1 kg 820 gram gold, 9 kg silver, 9,051 imitation ornaments, 9,245 sq feet wood, 3 statues of brass, 14 trucks, 2 private cars and 47 motorcycles.
BGB members also nabbed 244 persons for their involvement in smuggling. Legal actions have been taken against them.
